Almost Gone is the true story of my life—from my Kentucky upbringing, family, and service in the U.S. Navy Seabees to prescription medication dependence, a near-fatal medical crisis, a three-and-a-half-week coma, rehabilitation, and the second chance that followed. It is a deeply personal story about family, faith, survival, accountability, recovery, and learning to live again.
